I was a bit concerned about my progress mid way through this week as I spent a total of 6 days camping. Camping, of course, means no computers, internet connection, or programming practice.

I did read through a few chapters of Clean Code by Robert Cecil Martin, so I still managed to work on my goals.

Speaking of, what do you think of the assertion that switch statement should almost never be used? What are they for then? I’ll have to dive into that in another post.

So how was my progress this month?

Udemy Zero to Mastery Python Developer- Goal: finish through section 19. Progress: finished through section 17.

Automate the boring stuff with Python-Goal: Read and complete exercises for 1 chapter a week. Progress: completed 1chapter in two weeks.

Colt Steel’s Web developer Udemy Course — Goal: finish through section 23. Progress: completed section 24.

What happened?

Well, due to admin restrictions on my work computer, I can no longer make progress on my python progress on my lunch break, or after work study sessions. I make some progress at home, but definitely less. I also didn’t take in to account 3 weekends with 0 programming time.

I did read 3 chapters of Clean Code and got some extra work done in my Web programming course! So not all is lost.

Goals for May 2022:

Udemy Zero to Mastery Python Developer — finish through section 22.

Colt Steel’s Web developer Udemy Course — finish through section 26.

Automate the boring stuff with Python- Postpone until boo camps are done.
